As many of you undoubtedly know, our building suffered a severe fire on Sunday, August 4th. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any personal injuries, but the building was seriously damaged. This means that Restaurant Linnéa will be forced to remain closed during an extended period ahead.
Restaurant Linnéa will be serving a christmas buffet aboard the East India vessel Götheborg, during the period between November 28 and December 21.
We will serve a classic, well-made buffet in “our new” and, to put it mildly, unique and exciting environment.
The feast is set down on the gun-deck, where you will sit between the guns and enjoy our lovely buffet with everything from mulled wine to Christmas beer in your glasses.
On our buffet, you will find deliciously pickled herrings with freshly boiled potatoes, roasted Swedish rye bread and cheeses.
Then comes the herring salad, the schnaps marinated salmon, the cold-smoked salmon, the eel and, of course, a follow-up with everything from head-cheese and liver paté to the obligatory mustard flavoured Christmas ham.
The deliciously fried meatballs, the golden Janssons frestelse, and classic stockfish makes the belly . Last but not least, some “egg cheese” from Bohuslän with homemade jam, rice pudding, classic Swedish Christmas cakes, and all the other goodies that belong in a well-stocked Christmas buffet.
